Summary of Donations to The Alliance of Hope

Thank you all for the funds raised so far for Jeremiah's Journey. £1755 was raised through various means in Warren's name. I am sure he will be so proud of this achievement. However there are many charities out there deserving of help. With this in mind I would now like to dedicate Warren's memorial to a charity known as The Alliance of Hope. They are a global forum offering support for those lives devastated by suicide. They offer a warm non judgmental safe place to go for those left behind from such devastating loss. Suicide of a loved one could be likened to somebody letting of an atom bomb in yourlife. It is such a widespread problem yet due to stigma, the fear of broaching any issues linked to mental health it stays firmly in the closet making it hard for survivors to find support. There is nothing so healing as connecting with people who truly know what it is like to walk in your shoes. The Alliance of Hope offers such a place and brings survivors together s that they can help heal each other of a wound like no other. Many more lives will continue to be lost on a daily basis to suicide if we do not talk openly about it. Suicide is the outcome of a terminal mental health disease. It does not deserve any less attention than any other terminal illness. Those that die by suicide are ill, with open discussion, research and funding lets make those lost lives help others and stop them from taking the same path. Thank you.
